Caustic soda is an inorganic chemical compound (NaOH), made up of sodium and hydroxide, that is primarily used in water treatment and purification, and by the paper and pulp sector, as well as a cleaning agent. It is also widely used in both the chemicals and petrochemicals industry.
Also known as sodium hydrate or sodium hydroxide, caustic soda pearls are soluble in water and boast excellent exothermic properties, making them ideal for use in a wide range of areas.
Common applications of caustic soda include:
– Aluminium production
– Fuel production/refinery
– Solvents, adhesives & dyes
– Cleaning products
– Oven cleaners
– Degreasing agents
– Paints
– Surface treatments
– Agriculture (for grain treatment)
