British chemical solutions provider Aubin has revealed it will open a second manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia, which it hopes will boost its presence in the Middle East’s oil and gas markets.
Earlier this week, the company announced the manufacturing capability will increase product delivery and support to the wider region.
Director of Aubin Ray Stirton stated: “This builds on our commitment to focus on improved service delivery and value creation for our Middle East customers and follows on from the establishment of our United Arab Emirates (UAE) entity in 2014.”
The business has been providing chemical solutions to Saudi Arabia for more than 25 years. However, having its own facility in the country will enable it to “respond much more quickly to customer requests”.
He added that it will strengthen the company’s local connections, and benefit international businesses that import chemical products into the area.
Mr Stirton went on to say there is a significant potential for market growth in Saudi Arabia, which is why Aubin has chosen to expand its capabilities in the area now.
“We have plans for more manufacturing centres in the region to support the local and international oil an gas industries,” he went on to say.
As well as the UAE, Aubin has a fully-equipped facility in Aberdeenshire. This is where the business carries out its global research and development for the industry.
An important compound in chemical manufacturing is barium titanate, which is most commonly used in nonlinear optics, electrochemical transducers, such as microphones, and capacitors.
